Reese’s Sodium Options 2.2.3 for Minecraft 26.2

Reese’s Sodium Options replaces Sodium’s options screen with an alternate layout built around tabs, search, grouped controls, and navigation improvements. It does not replace Sodium’s renderer or increase performance by itself. For Java 26.2, creator-listed 2.2.3 files exist for Fabric and NeoForge, and Sodium is required.

Current release matrix

The project is client-side and licensed MIT. Quilt appears in broader project support, but the selected 26.2 release record is labeled Fabric rather than Quilt. Do not present this exact JAR as a verified Quilt build without current creator confirmation.

What the mod changes

Reese’s Sodium Options reorganizes controls that Sodium and compatible integrations expose. The creator documents a searchable interface, scrollable tab list, collapsible groups, keyboard navigation, reset and undo overlays, theme controls, and an option to return to Sodium’s default screen. Modern Sodium already provides its own complete settings screen, so Reese’s is a preference and workflow tool rather than a requirement for configuring Sodium.

When an option is missing, determine its owner before troubleshooting. Sodium owns core renderer controls. Sodium Extra adds additional settings. Iris owns shader-related choices. Reese’s controls how available options are presented. A missing integration tab and a renderer that failed to load are different problems.

Install without losing a known-good menu

1. Create a copied Java 26.2 profile and install the correct Sodium build for Fabric or NeoForge.
2. Open Sodium’s default options screen, capture its pages, and record any settings you have changed.
3. Add the matching Reese’s Sodium Options 2.2.3 file. Use search for one known Sodium option and confirm apply, undo, and restart persistence.
4. If needed, add Sodium Extra or Iris one at a time and record which new tabs or controls appear.
5. Test keyboard, mouse, and controller navigation only when the corresponding integration is installed and documented.

Never place Fabric and NeoForge builds in the same instance. Keep a copy of both Sodium and Reese’s config files before an update, because resetting a whole profile to fix a menu can destroy unrelated graphics choices.

Recover a missing option or unusable screen

If the screen will not open, read the latest log for an incompatible Sodium version or loader mismatch. If search cannot find an expected option, disable optional integrations and compare Sodium’s default screen. Use Reese’s documented disable control, when available, rather than deleting every config. If the option exists in default Sodium but not Reese’s, capture the exact label, mod versions, loader, and screen state for the creator’s issue tracker.

If an option changes rendering incorrectly, restore the option itself first. Reese’s may expose the control, but the owning renderer or integration determines its effect. Keep resolution, shader, packs, and scene fixed while reproducing the result.

Rollback

Close Minecraft, retain logs and configs, remove only Reese’s Sodium Options, and relaunch with Sodium. Confirm the default Sodium screen opens and previous values remain. If it does not, investigate Sodium or another integration rather than restoring Reese’s immediately. Reintroduce the alternate menu with fresh defaults, then transfer only settings you can identify.

Check navigation and readability

A settings interface should remain usable at the player’s normal GUI scale. Test search highlighting, keyboard focus, scrolling, tooltips, reset and undo controls, and any narration the project exposes. If a long translated label overlaps a control, record the language and scale. Controller behavior belongs to its optional integration and should not be claimed from a mouse-only check. These usability checks matter even when every graphics value is technically saved correctly.
