E19 replaces Xaero's Minimap entity markers with Cobblemon artwork. The current release is a narrow three-part setup: E19 1.4.4, Cobblemon, and Xaero's Minimap on the same Minecraft profile. Treat it as a client visual layer, not a creature mod, radar mod, or server feature.
Match the exact release before changing radar settings
| Field | Creator-controlled record |
|---|---|
| E19 release | 1.4.4, version ID YGgixlha, published February 6, 2026 |
| Minecraft | 1.21 and 1.21.1 |
| Required projects | Cobblemon and Xaero's Minimap |
| Side | Client required; server unsupported in the project metadata |
| Modrinth loader label | minecraft — a resource-pack label, not Fabric, Forge, or NeoForge |
| Release file | E19 Cobblemon Minimap Icons.zip, 19,398,814 bytes; MineBrush has not acquired or opened it |
E19 does not declare a mod loader of its own. The exact Cobblemon and Xaero releases still need a common Minecraft version and loader. Do not combine a Fabric dependency with a NeoForge dependency simply because the resource-pack ZIP is loader-neutral.
Build the dependency chain in the right order
Set up Xaero’s Minimap and verify its entity radar before adding the icon pack; E19 does not replace that dependency.
- Select Minecraft 1.21 or 1.21.1.
- Choose exact Cobblemon and Xaero's Minimap releases that support the same game version and the same mod loader.
- Launch that dependency-only profile once before adding E19.
- Place the unchanged E19 ZIP in the profile's
resourcepacksfolder and enable it in Resource Packs. - Open a disposable world and confirm that Cobblemon entities and Xaero's entity radar are already available.
Each player who wants the icons needs the client-side pack. The current project metadata does not establish a server installation requirement or permission to ignore a server's rules about entity radar.
Make Xaero display entity icons instead of dots
The creator's setup route uses Xaero's Minimap settings:
- Open Minimap Settings with the configured Xaero key binding.
- Open Entity Radar Settings.
- Set Display Icons to Always.
- Adjust Entity Icon Scale at the GUI scale used during play.
If icons remain dots, check the exact Xaero version before editing files. The E19 1.4.4 changelog says Xaero's Minimap 25.3.7 broke most icon packs and that 25.3.9 fixed the problem. That note does not establish behavior for every later Xaero release.
Use the creator's pack-priority rule
For the creator-listed companion packs, priority is not arbitrary:
- Place Combee MC Remodel above E19.
- Place the other creator-listed Cobblemon form and expansion packs below E19.
- Add one companion pack at a time and recheck the same creature marker after each change.
The selected release declares Combee MC Remodel, Vivillon Pride Patterns, and Cobblemon Alatia's Fakemon Pack as optional project relationships. The project description contains a longer supported-add-on list, but a listing is not proof that every current add-on release, form, and icon remains aligned.
Interpret form coverage without overclaiming
The creator describes support for Cobblemon form variations, an unmarked-shiny option, and many expansion packs. MineBrush did not compare the ZIP against current Cobblemon species data or load any optional add-on. New forms, renamed assets, remodels, and expansion updates can create missing or incorrect markers even when the base icon pack loads.
For a useful check, record one ordinary form, one shiny form, and one optional-pack form at the same minimap zoom and GUI scale. A creator screenshot can illustrate the intended look; it cannot substitute for a result from the player's exact profile.
Troubleshoot the smallest broken layer
| Symptom | First useful check |
|---|---|
| Every Cobblemon appears as a dot | Xaero's Display Icons setting, then the exact Xaero version |
| Some base forms have the wrong icon | E19 release, Cobblemon release, and whether a higher-priority pack replaces the same assets |
| Only an add-on form is missing | Whether that add-on is on the creator's current list and is below E19 unless the creator documents another order |
| The pack is absent from Resource Packs | File extension, nested folders, profile path, and whether the ZIP was renamed or unpacked |
| A multiplayer server prohibits entity radar | Disable the radar feature or leave the profile; this pack does not override server policy |
