Current release check: Translations for Sodium v8.11.0 is a client-side Java resource pack published August 22, 2026. It supplies unofficial translations for Sodium’s interface. It does not install Sodium, change Sodium’s renderer, or translate every Minecraft or mod menu.
The selected file is SodiumTranslations.zip, and its Modrinth dependency record marks Sodium as required. Install the correct Sodium mod first, then enable this ZIP as a resource pack and choose a language that the translation project currently includes.
Match Translations for Sodium v8.11.0
| Version | v8.11.0 |
|---|---|
| Modrinth version ID | 9svKlAHI |
| Published | August 22, 2026 |
| Minecraft labels | 1.20–1.20.6, 1.21–1.21.11, and 26.1–26.2 |
| File | SodiumTranslations.zip · 280,333 bytes |
| Required project | Sodium (AANobbMI) |
| Side | Client required; server unsupported |
The Modrinth loader label is minecraft because this is a resource pack, not a Fabric or NeoForge mod JAR. The relevant mod-loader route comes from the exact Sodium build in your profile. A translation pack cannot make an incompatible Sodium build load.
Check whether your language is included
The creator’s August 2026 list includes:
Anglish; Arabic; Belarusian; Bulgarian; Chinese Simplified; Chinese Traditional; Chinese Traditional (Hong Kong); Czech; Danish; Dutch; Estonian; Finnish; French; German; Greek; Hebrew; Hungarian; Italian; Japanese; Korean; Malay; Malay (Jawi); Norwegian Nynorsk; Persian; Polish; Portuguese; Brazilian Portuguese; Romanian; Russian; Serbian (Cyrillic); Spanish; Spanish (Venezuela); Swedish; Turkish; Ukrainian; and Vietnamese.
Check the current project page before installing because languages and coverage can change. The creator says a new version is released every Saturday when translations have changed. That is a conditional cadence, not a promise that a file appears every week.
A language being listed does not mean every string is complete or approved for every Sodium release. New Sodium options can appear before volunteers translate them, and individual phrases can be revised later.
Install the pack after Sodium
If the base mod is not already working, complete our Sodium setup guide first; this pack only translates Sodium’s interface.
- Start the target profile without this pack and confirm the correct Sodium build reaches its video settings.
- Download Translations for Sodium version ID
9svKlAHIfrom the creator-controlled versions page. - Place
SodiumTranslations.zipin the client profile’sresourcepacksfolder. Keep the ZIP intact. - Enable it in the Resource Packs screen.
- Select one of the currently listed languages in Minecraft’s Language menu.
- Open Sodium’s video settings and compare its tabs, option names, tooltips, and buttons.
This pack is client-side. Do not add the ZIP to a dedicated server’s mods folder, and do not ask a server owner to install it to change your local Sodium menu.
Use pack order only for overlapping language assets
If another enabled resource pack also supplies Sodium language entries, priority can decide which wording appears. Test one translation pack at a time first. If both are needed, move Translations for Sodium above the competing language pack, reload resources, and inspect the same three option labels. Then reverse the order and compare again.
Pack order cannot create strings that neither pack contains. It also cannot repair a missing Sodium installation, wrong Sodium version, failed mod-loader launch, or a translation belonging to a different mod namespace.
Diagnose the exact language problem
| Symptom | First useful check | Do not assume |
|---|---|---|
| Sodium menus remain in English | Confirm Sodium loaded, the pack is enabled, and the selected language appears in the creator’s current list | The server must install the resource pack |
| Some Sodium strings are translated and others are not | Record the exact Sodium and translation-pack versions plus the untranslated key or screen | The pack promises 100% completion for every release |
| Wording changes after adding another pack | Disable the other pack, then compare both priority orders with the same language | Sodium’s renderer or FPS behavior changed |
| Minecraft marks the pack as incompatible | Verify the exact Minecraft label on version v8.11.0 and confirm the intended ZIP was selected |
A project-level version list makes every old file current |
| A translation is incorrect | Use the creator-linked Crowdin phrase-reporting route with the language, source phrase, and screen context | Editing a local ZIP updates the community project |
| A language is absent | Check the creator’s current FAQ and Crowdin discussion policy | MineBrush can promise that the project will add it |
Contribute without mixing release and draft states
The creator uses Crowdin for translation, suggestions, voting, and issue reporting. A Crowdin change is not automatically present in the ZIP already installed on your machine. Retest after the project publishes a new version and record its Modrinth version ID.
When reporting a wording issue, include the selected language, the English source phrase when visible, the screen or tooltip, Minecraft version, Sodium version, and Translations for Sodium version. Avoid screenshots that expose account names, server addresses, chat, or private coordinates.
Modpack and license boundary
The project is labeled CC0-1.0, and its creator FAQ says it may be included in Modrinth, CurseForge, packwiz, or other modpacks without special permission. A modpack still needs to preserve the exact file/version record and comply with the platform’s distribution rules.
This permission applies to this translation project. It does not replace Sodium’s license, grant rights to unrelated UI assets, or make creator screenshots MineBrush property. MineBrush should link to the current creator release instead of presenting an old same-named ZIP as current.
No FPS or rendering claim
Translations for Sodium changes language resources for Sodium’s interface. It does not configure graphics options or supply a MineBrush-tested performance preset. No benchmark in this package supports a claim about FPS, frame time, memory, startup, shader behavior, or visual quality.
