MineBrush
Large walls, floors, and redstone layouts are easy to miscount by hand. Block Meter lets you mark two corners in the world and displays the resulting cuboid, including its side lengths and volume. It is a Fabric mod for Minecraft: Java Edition, not a Bedrock add-on or a stand-alone measuring app.

Filename note: the release page labels the current build as version 22, while the visible JAR filename contains “21.” Match the release by the version page and Minecraft compatibility, not by that filename fragment alone.
How to measure a build
- Hold an item in your main hand.
- Press the configured Block Meter activation key.
- Right-click the first corner of the area you want to measure.
- Right-click the opposite corner.
- Read the rendered cuboid, side lengths, and volume before placing more blocks.
Correct or clear a measurement
- Crouch and right-click a corner to loosen it, then right-click a new block to reposition it.
- Press the Block Meter key to deactivate existing boxes.
- Use Shift plus the Block Meter key to remove the last box.
- Use Control plus the Block Meter key to remove all boxes.
If the default key conflicts with another mod, change the binding in Minecraft's Controls menu before troubleshooting the mod itself.
Client-only or installed on the server?
For private measurements, the creator marks the client as required and the server as optional. A client-only installation can be used while connected to a remote server that does not have Block Meter. Install it on the server when players need to share measurement boxes with one another.
Setup checklist for Minecraft 26.2
- Create or select a Fabric profile for Minecraft Java 26.2.
- Add a Fabric API build compatible with the same 26.2 profile.
- Choose Block Meter 22 from the creator's version page and place the mod JAR in that profile's mods folder.
- Add Mod Menu only if you want its optional in-game management interface.
- Launch a test world and confirm the activation key before joining a production server.
The creator metadata does not pin one exact Fabric Loader, Fabric API, or Java runtime build for this release. Keep the game version, loader profile, API build, and mod release aligned instead of mixing files from different Minecraft branches.
