Evidence boundary: Mojang's Vibrant Visuals page was rechecked on August 25, 2026. MineBrush did not test a phone, tablet, console, PC, Minecraft build, world, Realm, split-screen session, graphics preset, frame rate, or visual pack for this article. The device tree below is an original static reading aid, not a compatibility test.
Vibrant Visuals is Minecraft Bedrock's official graphics mode for compatible devices. The safe way to enable it is short: confirm that your platform and hardware match Mojang's current list, install the most recent Minecraft version available to you, then open Settings, choose Video, and select Vibrant Visuals from Graphics Mode. The difficult part is not the menu path. It is reading the eligibility language without turning a platform name into a guarantee for every device.
Quick answer: check eligibility, then use the exact menu path
- Confirm that you are running Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. Mojang says Vibrant Visuals is currently available on compatible Bedrock devices and plans to bring it to Java Edition in the future.
- Match your platform to the official list and, for Android, iOS, or PC, match the additional hardware or graphics condition shown below.
- Install the most recent Minecraft version available through your platform's normal update route. The official Vibrant Visuals page does not name one exact minimum build number.
- Launch Minecraft and open Settings.
- Select the Video tab.
- Open the Graphics Mode dropdown and select Vibrant Visuals.
On a compatible device, Vibrant Visuals may already be the default graphics mode. If it is already selected, there is nothing to force. If the option is absent, stop at that observation. Missing-option diagnosis belongs to a separate device, version, and world checklist; this enable guide does not invent a workaround.
Official Vibrant Visuals device conditions
| Platform family | Condition stated on the official page | What this guide does not infer |
|---|---|---|
| Xbox | Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One are listed. | No model-by-model resolution, frame-rate, or quality result. |
| PlayStation | PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 are listed. | No console preset ranking or performance comparison. |
| Android | Adreno 640, Mali-G68, Mali-G77, or Xclipse 530 or higher. | No phone-model lookup, thermal result, or promise for an unlisted GPU. |
| iOS | A12 or M1 or higher. | No device-model mapping, battery result, or quality claim. |
| PC | Running Minecraft on DX12. | No minimum GPU, CPU, RAM, driver, resolution, or FPS value beyond that wording. |
The list is a source-day snapshot, not a permanent hardware database. Mojang can revise platform support, chip conditions, or menu wording. Recheck the official page if you read this after the source date, especially before buying hardware or promising support to another player.
Read the Android, iOS, and PC lines literally
On Android, the official page names GPU families and minimum examples. A phone's marketing name does not prove which GPU variant is inside every regional model. Do not guess from the phone brand or release year. Verify the actual hardware specification through a trustworthy device record, then compare that value with Mojang's wording. MineBrush has not mapped individual phones to Adreno, Mali, or Xclipse eligibility.
On iOS, the source says A12 or M1 or higher. That is the complete condition published on this route; this package does not translate it into a hand-built iPhone or iPad list. Product generations, chip variants, operating-system support, and the Minecraft build available in an app store can change independently.
On PC, the current condition is running Minecraft on DX12. The page does not provide a minimum GPU model, a driver list, a DirectX feature-level table, or a target frame rate. Treat DX12 as the stated eligibility condition, not proof that every PC using it will deliver the same resolution, lighting quality, stability, or performance.
Enable Vibrant Visuals from global Video settings
Use the official global path before changing a world or installing any visual pack:
- Update Minecraft through the normal store or launcher used by your Bedrock installation.
- Open Minecraft and select Settings from the main interface.
- Select Video.
- Find Graphics Mode.
- Select Vibrant Visuals.
This sequence confirms only that you selected the official mode. It does not prove a specific visual outcome or performance result. The current page also names Favor Visuals, Favor Performance, and expandable Vibrant Visuals options, but choosing between those controls is a separate preset decision. This article deliberately stops after eligibility and activation.
Use the world-level Graphics Mode control when needed
Mojang says compatible existing worlds can use Vibrant Visuals. On compatible Bedrock devices, it describes Vibrant Visuals as the new default graphics mode and says the mode can still be changed through Video settings and the Graphics Mode dropdown on the Create New World or Edit World screens.
That gives you two different places to check:
- Global check: Settings → Video → Graphics Mode.
- World check: Create New World or Edit World → Video → Graphics Mode.
Keep the distinction simple. The global menu is the normal enable path. The world screens let you review or change the graphics mode for that creation or edit flow. Do not delete, convert, or rebuild a world just to make the label appear. If the dropdown is missing, preserve the world and move to the separate missing-option investigation once its verified guide is live.
Existing worlds and Realms do not require every player to match
Mojang calls Vibrant Visuals a cosmetic enhancement and says it does not affect Minecraft's gameplay. Its current page states that existing worlds can use it and that friends can play together on Realms whether or not they have Vibrant Visuals enabled. One player's local graphics choice is therefore not presented as a Realm-wide gameplay requirement.
That statement does not prove identical visuals, frame rate, heat, battery use, or responsiveness across the participating devices. It also does not validate a third-party visual pack. Keep the official multiplayer compatibility statement separate from device-level performance and pack behavior.
Split-screen has a specific fallback
Vibrant Visuals is not supported in split-screen. Mojang says the game switches to Fancy or Simple rendering when multiple players join locally. If the appearance changes when a second local player joins, that fallback matches the current official description; it is not evidence that the world was damaged or that the first player's setting failed to save.
This guide does not test which fallback appears on a particular console or build. It preserves the official two-label statement and stops there.
MineBrush static eligibility and menu decision tree
- Edition gate: Bedrock continues; Java stops because the current source says Java support is planned for the future.
- Platform gate: continue only for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Android, iOS, or PC.
- Condition gate: Android checks the named GPU condition, iOS checks A12 or M1 or higher, and PC checks that Minecraft is running on DX12.
- Version gate: use the most recent version offered by the normal platform route; do not invent a build number that Mojang's page does not publish.
- Menu path: Settings → Video → Graphics Mode → Vibrant Visuals.
- Stop boundary: if the option is absent, do not change unrelated settings or install a pack as a substitute. Record the edition, platform, displayed version, and exact missing label for the separate troubleshooting workflow.
The package includes this same logic as an original CSV and SVG fixture for upload history. It contains no screenshot, device result, menu capture, Minecraft asset, or Mojang media.
What eligibility does not prove
- It does not guarantee the option on an unlisted device or platform.
- It does not guarantee that every listed device, account, region, Preview channel, or store build exposes the same menu on the same day.
- It does not establish a minimum frame rate, recommended preset, visual-quality score, battery cost, thermal result, or resolution.
- It does not tell you whether a third-party shader, Deferred pack, PBR resource pack, or Marketplace world works.
- It does not replace the separate troubleshooting path for a missing option.
If you need broader edition-specific coverage after this bounded enable check, continue through the Bedrock and mobile guides. For unrelated tutorials, use the main Minecraft guides library. Future BED-111 and BED-112 links should be added only after those articles have exact public canonical URLs and return HTTP 200.
Bottom line
Match your device to Mojang's current list, respect the extra Android, iOS, or PC condition, update Minecraft, and select Settings → Video → Graphics Mode → Vibrant Visuals. Existing worlds can use the mode on compatible devices, Realms friends do not all need the same local graphics choice, and split-screen falls back to Fancy or Simple rendering. If the option is missing or a visual pack fails, stop: those are different diagnostic intents and need different evidence.
