Minecraft Bedrock 26.32 is a symptom-first hotfix. The headline fixes are a frame rate that could drop or lock at 30 FPS and a freeze caused by opening a Book and Quill from a pre-26.30 world. The same release also addresses custom streamed audio, a custom-block rendering artifact, several crashes and one restricted-skin world-entry case.
The useful way to read this changelog is not “performance is fixed.” It is “does my exact setup match one of these six rows?”
Bedrock 26.32 fix matrix
| Symptom | Documented fix | Clean retest |
|---|---|---|
| Frame rate drops or becomes locked at 30 FPS | The documented frame-rate problem was fixed under MCPE-239693. | Same device, world scene, graphics mode, render distance and temperature state. |
| Old Book and Quill freezes the game | Books carried from pre-26.30 worlds no longer trigger the documented freeze. | Use a copy of the old world and the same book interaction. |
| Custom streamed audio is silent | Streamed audio now plays when its resource pack also contains subpacks. | Same pack release, selected subpack and sound trigger. |
| Hidden custom-block face appears solid | A zero-size UV dimension on a hidden model face no longer creates the documented stray face. | Same model, texture, face and viewing angle. |
| Gameplay crash | Several crashes were fixed. | Retest only a trigger you could previously repeat; the page does not list each cause. |
| Restricted skin blocks offline world entry | A player with a multiplayer-restricted skin can enter a world with multiplayer disabled. | Use the same account restriction and a non-multiplayer world. |
How to retest the 30 FPS issue
Frame rate changes when the scene, render distance, graphics mode, device temperature or background apps change. Record those variables before updating. After the update, return to the same spot and move through the same short route. Let the device reach a comparable temperature and do not switch every graphics option at once.
If the lock is gone, repeat the route after a full app restart. If it remains, capture the device, OS, build, graphics mode and whether the frame rate is a hard 30 or a fluctuating value. The official page does not identify affected hardware, so this article cannot honestly label one device family as fixed.
Open legacy books on a copy first
A Book and Quill stored in a world created before 26.30 is saved data, not a throwaway menu test. Duplicate or export the world before touching the item. On the copy, open the same book, close it, save the world and reopen Minecraft. Only after that loop passes should you rely on the result in the main save.
If the copy still freezes, stop. Preserve the untouched backup and note whether the failure follows one book, every writable book, or the entire world. Do not delete the item or edit world data through an unsupported tool just to make the crash disappear.
Custom audio and blocks: keep the pack stack constant
For streamed audio, the relevant case is a resource pack that also contains subpacks. Keep the exact release and subpack selection, trigger the same sound, then restart and test again. A silent sound from a missing file, wrong path or behavior dependency is a different diagnosis.
The graphics row is equally narrow: a hidden model face with one UV-size dimension set to zero could render as a stray solid face. If your pack has a different artifact, capture the content log and follow the MineBrush Bedrock add-on troubleshooting checklist.
Evidence and source
MineBrush has not run a frame-rate, legacy-world, device or pack matrix for this article. The factual claims come from the official Minecraft Bedrock 26.32 changelog, posted June 25 and rechecked August 25, 2026.
