Minecraft Bedrock 26.41/42/43 is a small hotfix series with one unusually important storage note. Mojang documented fixes for several gameplay crashes and missing assets after a network change during boot. The same page says cloud world storage on Windows was temporarily disabled while the team addressed discovered issues.
The changelog combines three build numbers. It does not say which row landed in 26.41, 26.42 or 26.43, so this guide keeps the series together. It also treats the cloud statement as an August 10, 2026 status—not proof of what every Windows player sees today.
What the 26.41/42/43 page actually documents
| Area | Documented change | What it does not prove |
|---|---|---|
| Crashes | Several crashes that could happen during gameplay were fixed. | The page does not list their triggers, platforms or bug IDs. |
| Missing assets | A world-loading asset problem caused by the network changing during boot was addressed. | This is not a universal fix for missing textures, broken packs or incomplete downloads. |
| Windows cloud storage | Mojang said cloud world storage on Windows was temporarily disabled while issues were investigated. | The dated note does not establish whether the feature is enabled for a particular account today. |
If a world loaded with missing assets
- Record the exact Bedrock build and Windows, console or mobile OS version.
- Close Minecraft completely.
- Stabilize the connection, then launch the same world once without switching networks during startup.
- Check whether the missing content belongs to vanilla Minecraft, a world resource pack, or an add-on.
- If an add-on is involved, test a copied world with only its required pack layers active.
A successful clean boot supports the changelog’s narrow network-change scenario. It does not prove the network was the cause of every missing asset. If the symptom follows an add-on, continue with the MineBrush Bedrock add-on diagnostic checklist instead of reinstalling the game blindly.
If the game was crashing
“Several crashes” is not a crash matrix. Retest the smallest action that used to fail: entering one world, opening one menu, joining one server, or loading one resource stack. Keep the world, packs and settings unchanged for the first test. If the crash is gone after the hotfix and a full restart, record that result. If it remains, keep the exact trigger and device details for a useful bug report.
Handle Windows cloud storage as a recovery risk
The official August 10 page states that Windows cloud world storage was temporarily disabled. A source recheck on August 25 did not find an official restoration notice, but that absence is not enough to declare the feature disabled for everyone. Account rollout, service state and later support guidance can change independently of an old changelog.
Do not delete a local world because you expect a cloud copy to return. Preserve an exported or otherwise independent copy first. Then inspect the current in-product storage state and current official support. If the world matters, recovery should have two known copies before you experiment—not one local save and a guess about the cloud.
Safe check after updating
- Confirm the displayed build instead of saying “latest.”
- Open a non-critical world first.
- Reproduce one crash or asset symptom.
- Restart the app and repeat once.
- Keep a separate backup until normal play and reopening both work.
MineBrush has not tested cloud restoration or a device matrix for this article. The evidence is the official changelog, rechecked on August 25, 2026. Read the official Minecraft Bedrock 26.41/42/43 hotfix page for the source record.
