Vatonage's current Skyfactory is a tree-to-factory challenge assembled from many Bedrock add-ons. The intended arc begins on a minimal sky island, turns renewable scraps into resources and machines, and ends with late-game crafting and an Ender Dragon objective. The hard part is not importing a pretty island; it is keeping a large automation stack understandable, recoverable, and stable as the factory grows.
Two Skyfactory release lines must stay separate
The older MCPEDL listing was published in 2021, updated in February 2023, and labels its release for Bedrock 1.19.60. It describes a smaller Advanced Machinery, Baubles, and Loot Bags bundle. That page remains useful history, but it is not the compatibility record for the current package.
Vatonage's own current site published a new Skyfactory page on January 7, 2026. Its latest named state is Update 5 from March 10, 2026. The checked page does not provide a semantic version, exact supported Bedrock build, filename, archive type, displayed size, checksum, or release channel. MineBrush therefore does not convert “Update 5” into a made-up v5 or carry the legacy 1.19.60 label forward.

What ships versus what is merely recommended
The creator divides the page into Featured Addons and Recommended Addons. That distinction matters. A recommended project should not be described as bundled until the current download or creator instructions confirm it.
The featured list includes Energistics Core, Bedrock Energistics, Mythical Seeds, Ex Nihilo, Item Ducts Redux, Advanced Storage Network, Lucky Blocks, Ore Trees, Item Generators, Craftable Spawners, Ore Chickens, Iron Chests, Iron Furnaces, Bedrockium, Project EMC, Mutant Monsters, Enchanting Plus, Planter Pots, Sneak Grower, More Totems, Ultimate Crafting, Programmable Bots, Backpacks, and Ultra Miner.
That is a large dependency surface. The source does not expose the exact version of every included component or its activation order. Do not update one featured add-on inside an established world because its standalone page has a newer file. The modpack may depend on a coordinated snapshot.
Import it as a world-scale system
- Use Vatonage's current Skyfactory route, not a search result that lands on the 2023 MCPEDL download.
- Record the page state, download name, byte size, and your Bedrock version before opening the file.
- Let Minecraft complete the import, then locate every new world and pack entry it created.
- Duplicate the imported world. Keep one untouched copy and launch only the working copy.
- At the world settings screen, record active behavior packs, resource packs, experiments, difficulty, simulation distance, and multiplayer state.
- After the first successful load, export another checkpoint before crafting or placing machinery.

Checkpoint 1: turn one tree into renewable basics
Vatonage describes the start as a single tree on a tiny dirt platform. Ex Nihilo supplies the “out of nothing” layer: crooks improve leaf-related drops, barrels turn plant matter into dirt, crucibles create water or lava, hammers break materials into finer forms, and sieves recover resources from prepared blocks.
The current Ex Nihilo component page has its own v1.5 changelog from January 14, 2026, including loot-table and automation changes. That does not prove which exact component build is inside Skyfactory Update 5. Follow the modpack's quest prompts and recipes rather than a standalone wiki.
- Protect the first saplings and enough dirt to recover from a failed tree cycle.
- Build a catch platform before mass leaf breaking.
- Prove one renewable path for wood, dirt, water, and cobblestone.
- Save and reopen before expanding into automated production.
If any of those loops is not renewable, stop and verify the active pack stack. Late machinery cannot repair an opening resource dead end.
Checkpoint 2: let the quest system define progression
Update 2 added a new quest system. Use it as the release-specific route, not as decoration. Record the first five tasks, their prerequisites, the detection method, and whether a completed objective remains complete after restart.
A quest may check inventory, crafting, placement, interaction, or a script event. If an objective does not register, recreate the required action with the exact item instead of granting the reward manually. Manual completion can move the book ahead while leaving the underlying unlock or machine state behind.
Update 2 also added an Endless Void feature described as returning the player to the top of the world instead of causing ordinary void death. Test it early with an empty inventory in the working copy. Note health, hunger, inventory, respawn position, status effects, and whether a second player observes the same result. Do not assume the rescue works during lag or after other movement add-ons are installed.
Checkpoint 3: prove one machine line end to end
Choose a modest recipe that touches generation, transfer, storage, and processing. A useful acceptance line has one input source, one duct or network connection, one machine, one output container, and a manual shutoff.
- Measure ten manual cycles and write down the expected input and output.
- Automate only the input; confirm that the machine does not duplicate or void items.
- Add output transfer and run a fixed five-minute batch.
- Leave the area, return, save, close, and reopen.
- Compare inventory totals and check for stuck visuals, ghost items, or duplicated blocks.
Update 3 names Item Generators and backpack fixes. Update 4 updates multiple production components, including spawners, Sneak Grower, Enchanting Plus, More Totems, Planter Pots, Ore Chickens, Bedrockium, Item Ducts Redux, Iron Chests, and Iron Furnaces. Those changes make a controlled line more informative than building ten machines at once.
Ultra Miner is powerful enough to test alone
Update 4 added Ultra Miner. The creator says triple-sneak toggles it, while sneaking during tool-based block breaking affects connected blocks of the same type. It consumes hunger and durability, and better tools affect more blocks.
Test the toggle on a separate cobblestone pad with an empty area below. Compare a low-tier and high-tier tool, record the number of blocks removed, then verify durability and hunger cost. Do not point it at the main island, storage wall, machine floor, or a vein connected to structural blocks until the boundary is proven.
Plan the midgame by bottleneck, not by mod count
The featured stack offers several ways to generate, store, transport, and transmute materials. Unlocking everything at once creates redundant networks and hides the actual constraint. Pick one target—stable power, bulk cobblestone, iron throughput, storage access, or controlled mob drops—and solve only the next missing link.
Use a written production sheet: machine name, recipe source, power or fuel, input rate, output rate, buffer size, and shutoff. If a system has no obvious stop control, isolate it behind a manual input chest and keep it unloaded when not needed.
Mythical Seeds was updated and a major lag spike was reported fixed in Update 5. That release note is not a guarantee that every farm layout is cheap. Crop density, growth acceleration, collectors, item entities, storage networks, and chunk activity can still overwhelm a phone or hosted world.
Make performance measurable
Create three checkpoints: clean island, first working machine line, and midgame factory. On the same device and settings, measure load time, steady frame rate if available, block-break response, container-open delay, item-transfer delay, autosave pauses, heat, and battery use during a fixed route.
When the factory slows down, copy the world and disable one line at a time using in-world controls. Avoid removing pack components from the original save. Count active generators, farms, mobs, loose items, ducts, storage nodes, and loaded chunks. A performance verdict without the factory size is not portable to another player.
Multiplayer requires a weakest-device test
The current project page gives no host, Realm, dedicated-server, console, or cross-play support matrix. Start with one host and one joining client. Both should open quests, craft an early component, use storage, cross the void-recovery boundary, and reconnect after a save.
Then run the accepted machine line while the weaker device stands in the same chunk. Record host and client delay separately. If the guest sees stale inventories or delayed transfers, do not scale the network until you know whether the issue is rendering, network synchronization, or server tick load.
Updating without dismantling the world
For a modpack this large, an update is a migration. Keep three files: the last working export, an untouched copy of the new creator download, and a disposable migration copy. Never mix selected standalone add-on updates into the only world.
On the migration copy, inspect missing blocks, storage access, ducts, quests, backpacks, spawners, planters, furnaces, generators, and EMC state. Run the same production test used before the update. If the creator supplies a fresh world rather than a patch path, assume old progression transfer is unsupported until documented.

Rights and attachment gate
The checked Vatonage page does not display a license that authorizes MineBrush to mirror the modpack or copy creator screenshots. Use the creator's download route. No matching package, original MineBrush capture, or safely retained creator image was found in the local workspace.
The existing cover remains an editorial illustration, not evidence of a recipe, quest, machine, or measured frame rate. It is excluded from the private DLE history allowlist.
