Effortless Building v4.0 is a Bedrock construction toolkit for placing shapes instead of tapping every block by hand. Its 14 modes cover jobs such as lines, walls, floors, circles, spheres, cubes, cylinders, cones, sloped surfaces, copy/paste, and midair placement. It works in Survival and Creative, but the cost and recovery rules are not the same in both modes.
The current creator file is Effortless Building v4.0.mcaddon, CurseForge file 8574011, released August 4, 2026 and labeled for Bedrock 26.30 plus earlier builds. Version 4 replaces the older v3.1-centered MineBrush snapshot and adds a setup wizard, deferred shape calculations, corrected preview-quality behavior, live tick-rate feedback, and expanded controls.
Who should use v4.0
This add-on makes sense when you repeatedly build geometric forms, plan large walls or floors, copy a known section, or need a preview before committing blocks. It is not a magic schematic importer, and “effortless” does not mean risk-free. A bad anchor, oversized selection, destructive mode, or misunderstood Survival cost can still leave a big permanent edit.

The creator's FAQ says the add-on requires Bedrock 1.21.100 or later and that opening the palette by swinging/left-clicking requires 1.26.0 or later. The current exact file is labeled 26.30. MineBrush performed a header-only check that reported 636,236 bytes, but did not download or inspect the archive.
How the 14 build modes are controlled
Two-step modes use an anchor click and a build click. They include line, wall, floor, circle, sphere, semicircle, and diagonal line. Three-step modes add an XZ footprint before height and completion; cube, cylinder, cone, diagonal wall, slope floor, and copy/paste use that pattern. Air Build is the one-click special mode for placing a block without an existing surface.
Some modes offer filled, hollow, ellipse, arch, dome, skeleton, straight, or Bezier options. A Bezier line accepts waypoints and uses sneak plus click to confirm. Learn these on a tiny flat-world grid. On touch devices, exact gesture mapping, hold behavior, and UI placement can vary with the control scheme, so the creator's desktop wording is not proof of comfortable phone or tablet input.
Start with the setup wizard, then lower the cap
On first join, v4 asks whether the device is low-, mid-, or high-end and applies a preset across preview style, preview quality, flick preview, deferred calculation, and maximum blocks per operation. You can rerun it with /setup, while /guide walks through a first shape. A preset is a starting configuration, not hardware certification.
The default global operation cap is 50,000 blocks, and an admin can raise the ceiling to 300,000. Those are allowed limits, not recommended first tests. Set a much smaller personal cap while learning. Confirm an eight-block line, a small hollow wall, and a short copy/paste before increasing the selection size.
Preview performance in v4
Deferred Shape Calculation is on by default. While you aim, the add-on can show a bounding box instead of repeatedly solving the entire shape, then calculate the real placement after your aim settles and always before placing. Preview refresh can range from every tick to once every 20 ticks, and preview styles include full outline, corner outline, particles, or disabled.
The action bar can display the server's live ticks per second while you select. That number helps separate slow preview refresh from a struggling world, but it is not a full performance benchmark. Frame pacing, touch response, memory pressure, device heat, and a second player's experience are separate checks. MineBrush has not measured any of them for v4.0.
Survival costs and the Building Book
The creator says all build modes work in Survival and that placement checks your inventory, placing only as many blocks as you carry. Pasting in Survival also consumes blocks. A cut region can be pasted once before its Survival clipboard clears. Getting a replacement Building Book with /getbook costs five XP levels.
Test shortages on purpose: select a ten-block line while carrying only six matching blocks and count what appears and what leaves your inventory. Repeat with a mixed palette if you plan to use one. The creator also labels the add-on achievements friendly, but MineBrush has not verified achievement state on the exact file, world settings, or platform.
Undo is Creative-only
/undo and /redo are Creative-only and cover up to ten operations. Entries under the player's undo threshold are stored in player data and are described as surviving rejoins and world reloads. Entries above the threshold remain in memory for the current session only. Available thresholds are Disabled, 200, 500, or 1,000 blocks, with 200 as the documented default.
That boundary matters. A 5,000-block edit can be below the server operation cap but above the persistent undo threshold. Do not promise rollback merely because the Undo command exists. Before a real build, make a world copy and test undo, redo, save/reopen, and dimension changes with a selection that matches your planned size.
Copy/paste and clipboard persistence
Copy/paste uses a three-click region selection. The creator says a paste rotates to match the player's facing direction and accounts for directional blocks such as stairs, logs, doors, trapdoors, and signs. A ghost preview appears after holding the cursor still, and the clipboard manager exposes 20 named slots that persist across sessions and world reloads.
Verify directional blocks, containers, signs, waterlogged states, and custom blocks in a throwaway scene. Creator documentation describes the intended behavior; it does not establish every block-state or third-party compatibility edge.
Admin controls, servers, and Realms
Operators or players with the eb:admin tag can restrict access by tag, disable Destroy Mode, make it Creative-only, set reach limits, control book delivery, and set the global block cap. The creator says the add-on works on Realms and servers when the Behavior Pack is applied to the world.
That is a creator claim, not a MineBrush multiplayer acceptance result. Test one host and one joining player. Confirm the second player receives the required world content, sees the same preview, pays the same Survival cost, respects tag restrictions, and cannot exceed the server cap after reconnecting.
Conflict and rollback boundaries
Effortless Building uses its own Building Book and the creator says it does not modify vanilla blocks, entities, or recipes, so conflicts are described as unlikely. Still isolate overlaps with other world-edit tools, custom UI, control remappers, custom blocks, player scripts, area-destruction tools, and admin/permission systems. Run each pack alone before combining them.
Keep a world export before the first large operation and before every update. Destructive edits and Survival consumption may be permanent even when a preview looked correct. If a v4 test fails, stop, preserve the reproduction, and reopen the untouched backup instead of experimenting inside the only copy.

CurseForge labels the project All Rights Reserved, so MineBrush does not mirror the archive. Open the exact Effortless Building v4.0 file record, confirm file ID 8574011 and its Bedrock labels, then import the .mcaddon through Minecraft. - Internal pack count, manifests, UUIDs, scripts, component versions, archive hashes, and activation order.
- Exact behavior on each mobile control scheme, console, Windows device, Realm, dedicated server, and joining client.
- Every custom-block state, protection plug-in, cross-add-on UI, crash, reconnect, and interrupted-operation outcome.
- Measured FPS, frame time, memory, storage, heat, battery, and server-tick cost at different selection sizes.
- Upgrade, downgrade, removal, clipboard migration, undo migration, and recovery after a failed large operation.
