Minecraft Bedrock · Survival utilities
Bedrock Essentials+ 1.8.1 by Gao combines several quality-of-life systems in one small Bedrock add-on: faster tree and ore harvesting, automatic replanting and pickup, paired doors, a flashlight, repair support, death coordinates, and Silk Touch spawner handling. The value is convenience, but the right test is module by module—one successful tree break does not prove every command, recipe, or multiplayer state.
Identify the correct Essentials project

The plus sign, creator, and project ID matter. This is not a generic server-admin “Essentials” plugin and not Paoo's separate Minecraft Essentials project. Never combine instructions or downloads only because the names look similar.
Exact supported builds
File 8154741 lists Bedrock 1.21.130, 1.21.131, 1.21.132, 26.0, 26.0.02, 26.3, 26.10, 26.11, 26.12, 26.13, and 26.20. Those are discrete labels attached to this release, not a blanket range and not a promise for 26.30 or 26.40.
The exact file page shows no additional files. That means CurseForge exposes one downloadable object for this release; it does not prove the .mcaddon lacks internal behavior, resource, or script components. MineBrush did not open the artifact, so the internal pack graph remains unknown.
What Bedrock Essentials+ includes
- Tree Capitator: sneak to activate while cutting a tree.
- Vein Miner: sneak to activate while mining a vein.
- Open Double Doors: interact with the bottom half to operate the pair.
- Anvil Repair: a creator-listed repair utility whose exact costs and limits require testing.
- Flashlight: the 1.8.1 notes add a survival recipe.
- Auto Replant: a convenience layer for harvesting cycles.
- Death coordinates: coordinates are sent to the player after death.
- Auto Pickup: disabled by default; use
/pickup enableor/pickup disable. - Silk Touch spawner break: listed as a newer feature, with exact restrictions unverified.
These are creator-described modules, not MineBrush test results. Recipe ingredients, supported tools, enchantment checks, permission requirements, and edge cases are not all documented on the checked source surface.
Install into a disposable world first
- Confirm your exact Bedrock build is one of the labels on file 8154741.
- Use the creator's CurseForge record and retain the original filename, file ID, and acquisition date.
- Open the
.mcaddonwith Minecraft and wait for the import result. - Create a new survival test world or duplicate the intended save before activation.
- Record every component Minecraft exposes under Behavior Packs and Resource Packs. Activate only the components belonging to this exact import.
- Restart Minecraft completely before running the acceptance sheet.
No external loader is listed. If the world asks for experiments or operator privileges, record the exact prompt instead of assuming they are required for every release. Achievement eligibility was not established.
Test Tree Capitator without sacrificing a forest
Plant one small vanilla tree in the test area and keep a matching control tree nearby. First break a log normally, then repeat while sneaking with the intended tool. Record tool durability, dropped blocks, leaves, adjacent player-built logs, and whether the action crosses into another tree.
Repeat with a partially connected canopy and after a full save/reopen. Large custom trees and modded wood should remain outside the acceptance claim until independently reproduced; the creator's short feature label does not define every connected-block rule.
Bound the Vein Miner result
Build or locate three small ore groups: one straight line, one diagonal connection, and one group touching a different ore. Compare ordinary mining with sneak activation. Record drops, experience, durability, enchantments, hunger, protected blocks, and the maximum connected set that changes.
A fast result is not automatically safe. If the module can cross into blocks you did not intend to mine, stop before testing in a real branch mine. No large-vein performance result exists for this article.
Auto Pickup begins disabled
The creator explicitly says Auto Pickup is off by default. Use /pickup enable for the test player and /pickup disable to turn it back off. Verify whether the command requires operator permission and whether the setting belongs to the player, world, or session; the source does not resolve that persistence boundary.
Test a normal drop, full inventory, partial stack, death drop, hopper nearby, and a second player. Then leave and rejoin. Record where the item goes and whether the setting persists. This is important on shared worlds because automatic collection can change loot ownership and farm behavior.
Flashlight and death-coordinate checks
Release 1.8.1 adds a survival recipe for the flashlight. Obtain it through the recipe shown by the current game, walk one fixed dark route, change hand slots, save, restart, and repeat. The source does not provide MineBrush with a measured lighting radius, duration, battery cost, or device benchmark.
For death coordinates, use a disposable location and inventory. Die once, capture the message, reconnect, and confirm whether only the affected player or everyone can see it. Coordinates can expose a private base or route in chat, so communities should decide their visibility policy before rollout.
Doors, replanting, repair, and spawners
Double-door behavior should be checked on two correctly paired vanilla doors from the bottom half, then from each side and after a restart. Add custom-door or redstone interactions only after the vanilla case passes.
For Auto Replant, harvest one crop at each growth stage with an empty and nearly full inventory. Verify the replanted crop, seed count, tool interaction, and result after chunk unload. For Anvil Repair, document the accepted item, input cost, output durability, and UI behavior; the project page names the feature but does not give a complete recipe contract.
Use a newly placed test spawner for the Silk Touch check. Record tool, enchantment, drop, placed result, mob type, and restart persistence. Never test a rare world spawner first, because “Silk Touch breakable” does not establish every survival, server, or placement restriction.
Compatibility is a module matrix
Bedrock Essentials+ can overlap other add-ons at several different layers: connected-block breaking, drops, inventory pickup, recipes, doors, anvils, light behavior, death messages, and spawners. Test it alone, then restore other packs by function rather than changing the entire priority stack at once.
For a host-and-client trial, run Tree Capitator, Auto Pickup, death coordinates, and the flashlight from both accounts. Verify that the host remains authoritative, resource visuals arrive, settings do not leak between players, and reconnecting preserves only the intended state. Realms and dedicated servers were not independently tested.
Performance and rollback
No timing or device benchmark accompanies this package. Connected-block operations can be more demanding than their small-world demo suggests, so measure the largest tree or ore group you actually plan to allow on the weakest device. Record frame time, input delay, delayed drops, and server tick behavior rather than saying “no lag.”
Before removing the add-on, disable Auto Pickup, finish active harvesting, clear test-only items, and export the world. Deactivate every imported component in a copy, restart, and check inventories, recipes, doors, crops, coordinates/messages, and placed spawners. Internal cleanup behavior is unknown because the archive was not inspected.
Troubleshooting by module
| Symptom | First useful action |
|---|---|
| Sneak harvesting does nothing | Confirm the exact 1.8.1 component is active, then retry a small vanilla tree or ore group in a new world. |
| Auto Pickup does not run | It is disabled by default. Try /pickup enable and record any permission message. |
| Items go to the wrong player | Reproduce with two players, one dropped stack, and empty inventories; report host/client roles. |
| Flashlight recipe is absent | Confirm file 8154741 and a source-listed Bedrock build before changing pack order. |
| Double doors desynchronize | Test a fresh vanilla pair from the bottom half with no door/UI pack active. |
| Spawner loses its mob type | Stop using valuable spawners and preserve the exact tool, enchantment, placement, and restart sequence. |
| Current Bedrock build is newer than 26.20 | Do not expand the compatibility label. Wait for the creator or use only a disposable test. |
Rights and source boundary
CurseForge labels Bedrock Essentials+ All Rights Reserved, and the creator states that modifications are for personal use only. MineBrush therefore does not mirror the .mcaddon, publish a modified copy, or reuse creator media. Players are sent to the exact creator record.
No real 1.8.1 archive, original MineBrush runtime capture, or locally retained creator screenshot was found. The current cover is generated editorial artwork and does not prove any module works.
